An evening celebration of two great American traditions - hard cider and the spaghetti western! The night be begin with an informative workshop on tasting cider, cider making and the local history of cider as well as tastings/samples from some the finest traditional cideries in New York State. The evening will conclude with Sergio Leone's classic film, 'For A Few Dollars More'.
"Hard" Cider Workshop: Taste, Tradition and Terroir' w/Michael Guidice.
The workshop will be taught by cider maker & orchardist Michael Guidice of Brickhouse Farm & Orchard in Sharon Springs and will include a sampling of some the finest artisanal ciders being produced in New York State.
The workshop will include such topics as:
- How to taste cider?
- What to look for in various ciders?
- How do varieties of apples affect the complexity and diversity of cider flavors?
- History of cider in New York State
